Berner University was a yearly educational program held alongside the Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America National Specialty, the breed club's national show. Its first session was in 2005, and the 2024 program was billed as the twentieth. Over a day or two, owners, breeders and handlers could attend seminars and workshops on breed health, genetics and breeding, conformation, rescue, grooming and dog sports, and well-behaved dogs could often come to class.
The program also produced the reading lists and handouts kept in the article library and the photographs in the gallery. The pages below describe past years only. Berner Guide, the independent site now on this domain, does not run the program and cannot take registrations or answer questions about it.
