The 13th Berner University was scheduled for April 24–25, 2017, at the Holiday Inn Portland Airport in Portland, Oregon, as part of that year's Bernese Mountain Dog Club of America National Specialty. Like other years, it offered seminars and workshops for Berner owners, breeders and handlers on health, breeding, conformation, stewardship and dog sports, taught by veterinarians, researchers, trainers and experienced club members.
